Práce by měla být teoretická, zpracovaná metodou analýzy dostupné literatury. Text by měl být kompilací zdrojů věnujících se vymezené problematice. Ráda bych téma dostatečně teoreticky vymezila a následně se věnovala několika konkrétním aspektům daného problému.

Preliminary scope of work

Ve své bakalářské práci bych se chtěla zabývat tím, jak sociologie přistupuje k jednomu z největších sou-časných témat bioetiky – týrání zvířat. Aby byl plně obsažen kontext této problematiky, postavení zvířat v lidském světě bych ráda nejprve ukotvila historicky (nastínila bych problematiku domácích mazlíčků, vnímání úlohy hospodářských zvířat, či přístupu ke zvířatům jako živým bytostem v minulosti). Dále bych ráda ve velké stručnosti upozornila na právní ošetření problematiky. Hlavním zájmem celé práce by však mělo zůstat jen několikero konkrétních otázek tázajících se po tematice důvodu týrání zvířat, postavení zví-řat v dnešním světě, a – pro mou práci asi nejdůležitějším tématu – po souvislosti mezi násilím páchaným na zvířatech a násilím páchaným na lidech. Jelikož z rešerše literatury tuším, že souvislost skutečně existuje a nikoliv nesignifikantní, chtěla bych za pomoci dostupných literárních pramenů charakterizovat tento sociální jev a ráda bych se alespoň zčásti pokusila jej vysvětlit za pomoci menších i větších sociologických teorií.

Preliminary scope of work in English

In my bachelor thesis I would like to discuss how sociology approaches one of the greatest contemporary bioethics issues – animal cruelty. To fully cover the context of this issue, I would like to define the status of animals in the human world from historic point of view and to briefly explain the legal treatment of the is-sue. Although, the main focus of the thesis should be a couple of specific questions discussing reasons for animal cruelty, status of animals in the human world nowadays and the connection between violence against animals and violence against humans as the main topic. I would like to explain this social phenomenon by the help of available literature and at least partly explain through a few of sociological theories.
