Předpokládaným primárním cílem práce je zhodnocení vlivu a dopadů hnutí Tea Party na americkou domácí politiku v kontextu voleb do Kongresu 2010. Jednotlivé kapitoly práce budou věnovány kořenům hnutí Tea Party, jejím hlavním ideologickým východiskům, osobnostem a postojům vůči palčivým problémům americké společnosti či vůči otázkám zahraniční politiky. Práce se bude rovněž snažit ukázat, jaký je skutečný vliv hnutí na celostátní i regionální úrovni a kým přesně je sponzorováno a podporováno. V neposlední řadě nabídne práce i určitý výhled do budoucna a možný scénář toho, jakým způsobem se dále bude Tea Party Movement vyvíjet a zda bude i v nejbližších letech důležitým aktérem na americké politické scéně.
Preliminary scope of work in English
Expected primary goal of the thesis is to asset inluence and impacts of the Tea Party movement on domestic politics of the United States in the 2010 Congress elections context. The chapters will examine the roots of the Tea Party, its ideological basis, the most important figures of the Tea Party and its attitude to significant problems of the American society or foreign politics. The thesis will also try to demonstrate actual influence of the movement to national and local politics, who funds it and supports it. Last but not least, the thesis will try to offer its probable future and a possible scenario of subsequent development of the Tea Party Movement and its role in the domestic politics of the United States.
