Preliminary scope of work in English
The aim of the work is to show aspects of Englishness as one of the main themes of English-written postcolonial and postmodernist literature. The theoretical part of the work deals with general introduction of Englishness and its modern understanding. The practical part’s focus is to explore and compare the two approaches to the theme of Englishness in The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro and England, England by Julian Barnes.
