Zpracování tématu epitafních a sepulkrálních památek Jednoty bratrské v Čechách, na Moravě a ve Slezsku od 16. do počátku 17. století je založeno na odborné a regionální literatuře tyto evidující. Jsou zaznamenány konkrétní nalezené pohřební monumenty členů Jednoty bratrské, bratrské šlechty a bratrských kněží, často jasně v souvztažnosti s existencí bratrských sborů a pohřebišť v dané lokalitě. Soustřeďuji se převážně na památky fyzicky dochované dodnes. Vzhledem ke špatné dostupnosti obrazových záznamů, která ztěžuje interpretaci na základě rozboru jednotlivých děl, je v teoretické části rozveden uměleckohistorický a interkonfesijní kontext renesančních náhrobníků a epitafů pro ucelenější pohled na možnou interpretaci. V potaz je brána debata probíhající nad problematikou zobrazování posvátna v teologii Jednoty bratrské, a taktéž nad evropskou konfesionalizací.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The processing of the topic epitaphic and sepulchral monuments of the Unity of the Brethren in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia since the sixteenth until the beginning of seventeenth century is based on regional and specialized literature concerning this topic. There is evidence of factual burial monuments of the members of the Unity of Brethren, the brethren nobility and brethren clergymen, very often found in direct correlation to brethren congregations and burial grounds in the given region. I mainly focus on monuments that exist physically to this day. Due to poor availability of visual records, which makes the interpretation based on the analysis of individual pieces difficult, I focus in the theoretical part on the renaissance gravestones and epitaphs in contexts regarding the history of art and the context of various confessions of faith, to make a possible interpretation more coherent. The Unity of Brethren’s debate over imaging of the sanctity in their theological views and over the European confessionalisation is taken into account.
