Preliminary scope of work

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postojem Francouzské komunistické strany ke koloniální problematice ve Francii v období 1920-1939. Snaží se zmapovat vývoj tohoto postoje a faktory, které ho ovlivňovaly. Francouzská komunistická strana byla v meziválečném období jedinou politickou stranou ve Francii, která zpochybňovala právo velmocí vlastnit kolonie a požadovala jejich okamžité osamostatnění. Práce zkoumá, jestli tento názor vyplýval z vlastního přesvědčení, jestli ho strana zastávala skutečně po celé sledované období a jestli ho v aktivně prosazovala v praxi, nebo šlo spíš o pouhou rétoriku. Práce bude chronologicky rozdělena na tři části, které oddělují významné mezníky ve vývoji koloniální politiky Francouzské komunistické strany; první kapitola začíná vznikem strany v roce 1920, druhá se věnuje období od roku 1924, kdy vypuknul koloniální konflikt v Maroku, třetí kapitola začíná rokem 1935, kdy ve Francii došlo k vytvoření Lidové fronty složené z levicových stran včetně komunistů.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This bachelor thesis deals with the attitude of the French Communist Party to the colonial issu in France in the period of 1920-1939. It tries to map the development of this attitude and factors which influenced it. The French Communist Party was the only political party in the inter-war France which contested the right of the powers to own colonies and it called for their immediate independence. The thesis analyses whether this opinion stemmed from the inner conviction, whether the Party really advocated it throughout the whole period of interest and whether it actively promoted it in practise or it was rather just a rhetoric. The thesis will be chronologically divided into three parts delimited by events which were crucial for the shape of the Party's colonial policy. The first chapter begins with the foundation of the Party in 1920, the second deals with the period from 1924 when the colonial conflict in Morocco broke out, the third chapter begins in 1935 when the Popular Front was created in France which consisted of left-wing parties including the communists.
