| Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou omezení občanských práv Američanů japonského původu, zejména na území západního pobřeží USA, v době druhé světové války. První část pojednává především o historickém kontextu a příčinách celého problému, dále následuje popis klíčových právních norem formujících postavení japonské menšiny v USA a způsobu jejich realizace. Poté jsou představena nejdůležitější rozhodnutí Nejvyššího soudu USA v této záležitosti, včetně nejznámějšího případu týkajícího se japonských Američanů – Korematsu v. US. Práce také stručně pojednává o přehodnocení celé politiky diskriminace v 80. letech 20. století, které vyvrcholilo omluvou americké vlády a odškodněním zasažených občanů. |
