Cvičení byly úžasné, posunula jsem se ve schopnosti nahlížet na problém, vyjadřovat svoje myšlenky a spolupracovat při řešení problému s ostatními. Pan docent Fiala vyžadoval na cvičeních aktivní přístup, ale na druhou stranu pozornost a snaha přemýšlet (svým tempem) stačila, cvičení byly personalizované pro naše potřeby a vždy rychle uběhly. :)

Líbilo se mi, že cvičení byla jen tehdy, pokud bylo co cvičit. Dále jsem dost ocenil, že jsme "měli motivaci" se na cvičeních snažit, protože za něj byly body k zápočtu. Jednou se nedohodl cvičící s přednášejícím, co se nestihlo probrat, takže se čekalo, že budeme znát něco, co jsme ještě neslyšeli.

The seminar was great and I will be taking it in the next semester as well. I think, however, that it could maybe have been handled a bit better: there were too many of us and while some Czech students who knew each other from before made their own groups and started working on problems, I joined a particular group only much later, by which time semester was coming to a close (this is partly due to me, but if all the people who were willing to work on a particular problem joined together (as would, I guess, be the case if there were 5/6 of us in the class), it would be easier to integrate - this way the groups were not so fixed at the first several meetings and we (students) didn't organize ourselves so well. At the same time, I understand that it is hard to handle a situation like this, so I don't know if it could have been done in any better way, but I thought to mention it.
I would maybe also hope for a wider selection of problems (and hopefully some in Euclidean Ramsey theory :DD ����), but that is just a suggestion.

Formát předmětu je takový, že se zadá nějaká úloha z kombinatoriky (studenti si případně mohou vybrat) a pak studenti sedí a čekají, až někoho něco napadne a napíše to na tabuli. Po vyčerpání zásoby prvotních nápadů mi to osobně přišlo docela nudné, netušil jsem, co bych s tím problémem dělal, tak jsem vlastně neměl nic na práci. Část atraktivity tohoto předmětu pro mě plynula z toho, že mělo jít o nevyřešené problémy, ale vyučující nás nechali dokazovat i tvrzení, která už vyšla v nějakém nedávném článku.

The seminar is great and I have thoroughly enjoyed going to it. I must say that I may have heard more ideas on this seminar than on some other lectures and I really liked all the talks. The atmosphere of the seminar is also very friendly and relaxed, which contributes to the overall experience. I will be taking it in the next semester as well, and have already suggested it to several friends :D.

Tento předmět doporučuju hlavně pro prváky. Pro vyšší ročníky mi přijde, že tempo je hrozně pomalé. Také mi přijde škoda, že zápočet není vyřešen pomocí domácích úkolů - přijde mi, že na spoustu témat by šly vymyslet i vážně zajímavé úložky
