The course covers the basics, best practices, and also why things work the way they do. This helps you not only follow the 'cookbook' but also understand the concepts. Some tasks were easy enough so the students, who are new to coding, grow motivation and confidence. Others were challenging, but they resulted in new knowledge, and skills and after initial pain, motivation and confidence growth.
Michal is very patient, encouraging, kind, funny, calm and explains everything clearly and interestingly, often throwing random fun facts. He is always ready to answer questions, give guidance, and support students. He also replies to emails quickly. His teaching works well for people from different backgrounds, even if they’re new to coding. Overall the course is great if you know just the basics of some programming language and would like to get a picture of what Python can do, with the addition of practising the basic algorithms and getting constructive feedback. New knowledge can be applied to your work immediately after the lecture. The only downside is that the course doesn’t continue in the summer term (I am not throwing a huge hint at all). |
