Cvičící byl velice hodný a nápomocný. Někdy však některé důkazy tvrzení nebyly dotažené úplně do konce a já si to bohužel neumím intuitivně domyslet, takže jsem nějakým částem prostě nerozuměla.

The teacher is a nice person, passing the tutorial wasn’t terribly hard. But iIt wasn’t great that we didn’t practice the polynomials (we had to apply them as an exercise at the exam). I would also prefer better preparation for the practicals from the teacher. Sometimes the exercises weren’t formulated well and it was easy to get lost.

Vyučující látce dost rozuměl, ale jeho výklad bylo někdy náročné sledovat (obzvlášť u složitějších důkazů). Zároveň je ale vyučující velmi vstřícný, odpovídá na dotazy a podmínky u zkoušky byly velice férové. Oceňuji poznámky k přednáškám, které měl vyučující na stránkách -- sice často neodpovídaly úplně přesně, ale daly se v nich najít tvrzení i jejich důkazy, když člověk něco nepochopil na hodině.

Ocenil bych, kdyby všechny definice, věty i důkazy byly během přednášek zapsány na tabuli. Nebo aby byla aktualizovaná skripta podle toho, co se doopravdy přednáší. Mé poznámky jsou chaotické a plné chyb a nepřesností. Učení na zkoušku bylo proto zdlouhavé a zabralo mi o zkouškovém hodně času. Předmět bych proto normálně vzdal, pokud by nebyl pro můj obor povinný a nepotřeboval bych ho ke státnicím.

Great skill at recognising the misconceptions/mistakes behind faulty arguments on the fly and asking clarifying questions to make them clear to the students presenting them.

The teacher is one of the finest intellectuals I have met, and during his lectures you can really see how much he knows and how quickly he comprehends things, and it is really inspiring to have someone like him as a teacher. While I would appreciate having some lecture notes, the professor writes all of the proofs in great detail on the board and this really gets rid of the need for such notes. The lectures were also recorded, which is much appreciated as well.

Excellent all around: consistently providing motivation for and showing his enthusiasm for the topics, clear and detailed explanations, often accompanied by illustrating examples, legible handwriting, high awareness of the audience and the parts they might find more challenging to follow.

Highly appreciated the solutions being shown and discussed on the blackboard. Well-curated selections of problems, just enough to keep even the faster students occupied, especially with the problems of "find the best bounds you can". The choice to have some of the results used in the lectures be proved here, where no record remains for those not in attendance, is somewhat questionable but the proofs of those results could be found fairly easily elsewhere.

Na cvičeních jsme samostatně dokazovali různá tvrzení. Rozhodně mi cvičení pomohlo lépe si zapamatovat pojmy z přednášky.

The tutorials were in the form of trying to solve a set of problems and then it was presented by the teacher on the board. It was well presented. Getting credit was quite easy, since we had only one set of homeworks, but I feel like the tutorials helped me prepare for the exam.

This was by far one of the best and hardest courses I have taken in my studies. I was really amazed by the seriousness of the theorems we covered and the breadth of the topics included in the curriculum, and have thoroughly enjoyed the whole course :).

Vím, že jsme už v hodně teoretických odvětvích, ale občas bych přesto ocenil pár zmínek navíc ohledně toho, jak se ty věci dají aplikovat. Jinak byl předmět fajn.
Ještě bych ocenil, kdyby měl předmět skripta. Nahrávky jsou sice fajn, ale já mám mnohem raději učení ze skript. Když jedna nahrávka nebyla, tak místo ní byl text, což mi přišlo super a škoda, že jich nebylo víc (ale chápu, že to zabere hodně práce).

This is one of the best courses I’ve ever taken in terms of teaching quality. The lecturer is clear, patient, and open to any kind of question.
One very small remark: in the recordings, although the audio quality is very good, it is sometimes difficult to see what is written on the blackboard, both because the camera is not zoomed in enough and because of the overhead lighting.

Látka mi přišla zajímavá, hodně se mi líbilo spojení polynomů grafů a jejich degree-colorability. Zároveň ale některé důkazy byly netriviální a při učení na zkoušku mi docela trvalo, než jsem je pochopila. Celkově mi předmět přijde jako užitečný vhled do pokročilé kombinatoriky a teorie grafů.

Pokud jste absolvovali KAG 1 a 2, jedná se o podobný předmět s jinými tématy. Nejvíc se mi líbilo, že jsme se dostali k pojmům jako jsou stromová šířka a stromové rozklady. Tato témata se objevují i na jiných přednáškách, ale tento předmět je konečně definuje a formalizuje.
