| Disertační práce je zaměřena na výzkum současných urbanizačních a urbánních procesů, které mění sociální prostředí evropských měst, zejména gentrifikace, suburbanizace nebo segregace. Cílem práce je postihnout prostorové vzorce urbanizačních procesů a vysvětlit faktory, které je podmiňují a hodnotit dopady v metropolitních regionech. Jádrem výzkumu jsou sekundární data tradiční populační, migrační a ekonomické statistiky a big data získávaná alternativními způsoby sběru. Významnou součástí práce je uplatnění případových studií konkrétních lokalit nebo jejich typů v městském prostředí. Z metodického hlediska uvítáme schopnost práce s kvantitativními daty, kartografickým a GIS softwarem a kreativním přístupem v geografických metodách. The dissertation focuses on research into contemporary urbanization and urban processes that are transforming the social environment of European cities, in particular gentrification, suburbanization, and segregation. The aim of the dissertation is to identify the spatial patterns of urbanization processes, explain the factors that shape them, and assess their impacts in metropolitan regions. The core of the research consists of secondary data from traditional population, migration, and economic statistics, as well as big data obtained through alternative data collection methods. An important component of the dissertation is the use of case studies of specific localities or types of localities within the urban environment. From a methodological perspective, proficiency in working with quantitative data, cartographic and GIS software, and a creative approach to geographical methods are welcomed.
