Cílem práce je představit pojetí ženské otázky v reformaci české a zasadit ji do kontextu reformace evropské.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The aim of the thesis is to summarize current knowledge about the position of women in the religious reformation in German speaking countries. The main question is how the new and original thinking about women and correlating concepts influenced life of women as such, if it ever did, and to what extent. On the basis of this summary the thesis presents the role of women in Czech reformation. Czech reformation started in the early 14th century with the Hussite revolution. One must be careful when comparing these phenomena, because while the Hussite revolution was firmly based in the Middle-Ages the Lutheran reformation marked the beginning of the early Modern times. Direct comparison can be made between Lutheran thinking and the other branches of Czech reformation, the Utraquist church and the Unity of Brethren where the position of women was the most prominent of all the reformational branches presented in this thesis.
