| The term Linked Data [1] is used to describe a method of exposing, sharing, and connecting data via dereferenceable URIs on the Web. Currently, the method is being applied experimentally by various developers. They either expose structured databases in a form of Linked Data or built applications upon that data.
The aim of this thesis is to experimentally show what benefits may be brought by publishing public governmental data on the Web of Linked Data. The author will identify a suitable structured data source, e.g. Czech Register of Companies [5]. Then he will provide a wrapper which will convert data from the data source to Linked Data. Then he will implement an experimental application upon that data. The application will also work with other data connected to the authors' data via the principle of Linked Data. |
