| The term Linked Data [1] is used to describe a method of exposing, sharing, and connecting data via dereferenceable URIs on the Web. Currently, the method is being applied experimentally by various developers. They either expose structured databases in a form of Linked Data or built applications upon that data. Data on the Linked Data Web are distributed across multiple data sources (in the same way as Web pages on the current Web of Documents). Linked Data applications, however, need to see that data in an integrated way and evaluate queries upon them. Therefore, services which provide such functionality will be crucial on the future Linked Data Web.
The aim of this thesis is to study possibilities of indexing Linked Data Web. The author will start with an analysis of current approaches in the area. Then, he will propose own indexing method (which may extend and combine existing ones). The proposed method will overcome some disadvantages of existing solutions. He will also show advantages and usefulness of the proposed method experimentally. |
