Diplomová práce se zabývá výsadami a imunitami, jimiž jsou nadány úřady diplomatických misí za účelem usnadnění uskutečňování zahraničních styků. Hlavním právním dokumentem, ve kterém jsou diplomatické výsady a imunity upraveny, je Vídeňská úmluva o diplomatických stycích. V letošním roce uplynulo již 50 let od jejího podpisu. Cílem práce je popsat obsah jednotlivých výsad a imunit náležejících úřadům diplomatických misí a posoudit, zda Vídeňská úmluva o diplomatických stycích představuje právní úpravu vhodnou i pro potřeby současné praxe.

The thesis describes privileges and immunities provided to offices of diplomatic missions in order to facilitate carrying out international relations. The key legal document regulating diplomatic privileges and immunities is the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations which commemorated 50 years of its existence this year. The aim of the thesis is to describe the contents of the individual privileges and immunities and to consider to which extent the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations represents a suitable legal instrument even for the needs of the today´s practice.
