Práce se věnuje právním garancím nezávislosti člena parlamentu při výkonu jeho mandátu - konkrétně parlamentní imunitě, střetu osobního zájmu člena parlamentu se zájmem veřejným, neslučitelnosti funkcí s funkcí člena parlamentu a hmotnému zabezpečení člena parlamentu. Práce se zaměřuje na právní úpravu platnou a účinnou v České republice, která je porovnávána s tou, která je zakotvena ve vybraných státech evropské právní kultury, přičemž je snahou autorky volit vždy takovou právní úpravu, která představuje jiný přístup k úpravě analyzované problematiky.

The thesis is dedicated to the legal regulation of instruments presenting guarantees of the independence of the member of parliament during the performance of his/her functions - particularly to the parliamentary immunity, conflict of personal interest of the member of parliament with the public interest, incompatibility of functions with the function of the member of parliament and parliamentary indemnities and allowances. The thesis focuses on the legal regulation in force in the Czech Republic and compares it with legal regulation in force in other selected countries of the European legal culture. The author tries to choose such a legal regulation that represents different approach to the analysed question.
