The goal of the thesis is to research scripting possibilities for Common Information Model (CIM) including a prototype, preferrably based on existing scripting languages, e.g., Ruby or Python.

of the most promising standards for systems management is DMTF's Common
Information Model (CIM). The model allows administrators to easily monitor
and configure systems. For this, easy scripting is one of the basic building
blocks for tailoring tools for systems management, as can be seen in proposed
Microsoft "Monad" scripting environment.
