This thesis seeks to delineate the main rules of film adaptations to compare chief motifs, symbols, and preoccupations of the author of the book and the creators of the film. The theoretical part introduces the authors, their works and the theory in general. The practical part applies the theory and mainly studies how different characters are shaped by their perception of beauty. |
