Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

This thesis investigates how characters with Autism Spectrum Disorder are represented in English literature. In my reading of selected texts, relying on works from the fields of Psychology, Disability Studies, and English literature, I intend to determine: 1) whether the portrayal of characters with ASD in novels follows the symptoms described in specialized literature, and 2) how the language of the characters with ASD is depicted in the novels. In addition, the portrayal of these characters is compared in order to ascertain common and different features in the portrayal of individuals with ASD in literature.
