Předběžná náplň práce

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou mediálního obrazu Evropské unie a Číny v Namibii, v kontextu strategií Global Gateway a Nová hedvábná stezka. Strategie Global Gateway vznikla teprve v roce 2021. Z tohoto důvodu se práce věnuje celkovému mediálnímu obrazu obou velmocí, který je doplněn analýzou vlivu těchto strategií na mediální obraz. Časové vymezení výzkumu je však od roku 2013, kdy vznikla strategie Nová hedvábná stezka. Cílem práce je tedy prozkoumat, jak jsou obě velmoci v namibijských médiích reprezentovány a jaká témata se s nimi pojí. Dále je posuzován vliv strategií na mediální obraz ve zkoumaných médiích. Výzkum používá data z namibijských deníků The Namibian a New Era, kde jsou analyzovány články od roku 2013 do začátku roku 2024.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The bachelor thesis analyses the media image of the European Union and China in Namibia, in the context of the Global Gateway and the New Silk Road strategies. The Global Gateway strategy was only created in 2021. For this reason, the thesis focuses on the overall media image of the two superpowers, which is complemented by an analysis of the impact of these strategies on the media image. However, the timeframe of the research is from 2013, when the New Silk Road strategy was created. The aim of this thesis is therefore to explore how the two superpowers are represented in the Namibian media and what themes are associated with them. Furthermore, the influence of the strategies on the media image in the media studied is assessed. The research uses data from Namibian newspapers The Namibian and New Era, where articles from 2013 to early 2024 are analysed.
