Předběžná náplň práce

Práce se věnuje Svobodné straně Rakouska a jejímu vývoji v letech 1986 až 2007. Důraz je kladen na změnu postojů strany k evropské integraci. V 80. letech totiž Svobodná strana Rakouska zastávala proevropské postoje, protěžovala přístup Rakouska do Evropského společenství, ale po nástupu Jörga Haidera do čela strany se její postoj změnil a naprosto obrátila. Ve zkoumaném období FPÖ utvořila tři vládní koalice, zároveň došlo i k vývoji v samotné EU. Cílem práce je daném období otestovat teorii Paula Taggarta a Alekse Szczerbiaka a také Nicka Sittera, kteří shodně tvrdí, že i euroskeptická strana svou rétoriku mění dle toho, zda se podílí na vládě či nikoli.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The thesis focuses on the Free Party of Austria and its development between 1986 and 2007. The focus is on the change in the party's attitudes towards European integration. In the 1980s, the Free Party of Austria was pro-European and promoted Austria's accession to the European Community, but after Jörg Haider took over the leadership of the party, its positions changed and completely reversed. In the period under study, the FPÖ formed three government coalitions, while at the same time there were developments within the EU itself. The aim of the thesis is to test the theory of Paul Taggart and Alex Szczerbiak, as well as Nick Sitter, who argue that even a Eurosceptic party changes its rhetoric depending on whether or not it participates in government.
