Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce
The topic of this bachelors’ thesis is the migrant crisis on the Balkan route and its portrayal in the media between 2018 and 2019. The thesis particularly focuses on the migrants and analyses if the broadcaster covers the topic neutrally or if there is reporting bias that favors the migrants. The central part of the thesis is the article analyses carried out through a combination of narrative and discourse analysis. The focus is on the main social actors, theme, and possible intent of the articles. The thesis tries to define how the migrants are portrayed and if it is possible to report about sensitive social issues in a neutral manner.
