Předběžná náplň práce

Cílem této práce je identifikace faktorů, které znemožňují Kongresu Spojených států schválit komplexní imigrační reformu. Pro výzkum bude použit analytický rámec Johna W. Kingdona. Tento rámec bude aplikován na případy dvou posledních návrhů imigrační reformy z let 2007 a 2013. Hlavním přínosem této práce bude nejen identifikace faktorů, které mají negativní vliv na schválení reformy, ale také diskuze o podmínkách, které by mohly zvýšit šance na úspěšné prosazení imigrační legislativy.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The main goal of this thesis is to identify key factors that prevent the U. S. Congress from passing a comprehensive immigration reform. For the research, analytical approach of John W. Kingdon will be applied to the most recent immigration reform proposals from 2007 and 2013. The main contribution of this thesis will be not only identification of the factors preventing a comprehensive immigration reform from passing in Congress, but also discussion of conditions that could increase the chance of successfully passing the legislation.
