Recentní publikace ukazují na vztah tělesného složení, obezity, DM 1. a 2. typu, kouření na endokrinní orbitopatii a s ní související Graves-Basedowovu chorobu. Toto je ve shodě s naším klinickým pozorováním. Též bylo vysloveno podezření na zvýšenou asociaci DM 2. typu s endokrinní orbitopatií a DM 1. typu s Graves-Basedowovou chorobou. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit tělesné složení, výskyt diabetu mellitu, kouření u pacientů sledovaných pro endokrinní orbitopatii, často léčených pulsy kortikoidů. Odhadovaný počet zařazených pacientů je 20-30. Budou u nich zaznamenány základní komorbidity - obezita, diabetes mellitus, kouření atd., dále bude provedeno zhodnocení stupně endokrinní orbitopatie pomocí CAS - clinical actitivy score. Na základě těchto dat bude zhodnocena asociace uvedených parametrů.

Recent publications show the relationship of body composition, obesity, DM type 1 and 2, smoking on endocrine orbitopathy, and related Graves-Basedow disease. This is in line with our clinical observations. Also, there was a suspicion of an increased association of DM type 2 with endocrine orbitopathy and DM type 1 with Graves-Basedow disease. The aim of this work is to evaluate the body composition, the incidence of diabetes mellitus, smoking in patients monitored for endocrine orbitopathy, often trated with corticoid pulses. The estimated number of enrolled patients is 20-30. Basic comorbidity - obesity, diabetes mellitus, smoking, etc. will be recorded, and the endocrine orbitopathy evaluation will be performed using CAS - clinical activity score. Relationship of these parameters will be evaluated based on these data.
