Předběžná náplň práce

Diplomová práce Role institucí ve vládnutí nestátních ozbrojených skupin: Případ ELOF se zabývá jedním z aspektů vládnutí ozbrojených skupin, a to institucemi, které ozbrojené skupiny vytvářejí či využívají pro vykonávání vládnutí, konkrétně rolí, kterou tyto instituce hrají ve vztazích mezi ozbrojenými skupinami a civilním obyvatelstvem. Zkoumaným případem je Eritrejská lidová osvobozenecká fronta. Tato ozbrojená skupina vznikla roku 1973 v kontextu boje za nezávislost Eritreje a v následujících desetiletích vytvořila systém vládnutí, jež zahrnoval zdanění, politické koncily, poskytování vzdělání a zdravotní péče i mechanismy pro řešení sporů. Po vzniku nezávislé Eritreje roku 1993 se ELOF přetavila v Lidovou frontu za demokracii a spravedlnost, jež dodnes zůstává vládnoucí eritrejskou politickou stranou. Primárním cílem práce je zodpovědět otázku, jakou roli hrají instituce vytvářené nestátní ozbrojenou skupinou pro budování jejích vztahů s civilní populací. Okrajově se též věnuje vývoji Eritreje po vyhlášení nezávislosti.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

This diploma thesis deals with one of the aspects of armed groups’ governance, namely the institutions that are created or used by armed groups and the role that these institutions play in the military-civilian relations. The case study chosen is the Eritrean People's Liberation Front. This armed group was formed in 1973 in the context of the struggle for Eritrea's independence, and in the next decades it created a governance system that included taxation, political committees, education, health care, and mechanisms of dispute resolution. After the establishment of independent Eritrea in 1993, ELOF evolved into the People's Front for Democracy and Justice, which still remains a ruling Eritrean political party. The primary aim of the thesis is to study the role played by institutions created by non-state armed groups in building their relations with the civilian population. It is also marginally devoted to the development of Eritrea after independence.
