Předběžná náplň práce
Bakalářská práce se bude věnovat platům učitelů v České republice a to především v porovnání s průměrným platem v České republice a s průměrným platem vysokoškolských absolventů z jiných oborů. Platy učitelů se nepovažují v poslední době za příliš vysoké a tak se mimo jiné bude bakalářská práce zaobírat i dopady tohoto faktu. Příkladem je například snižující se počet učitelů ve společnosti, zvyšující se průměrný věk učitelů či nedostatek učitelů v České republice dnes ale především i v budoucí době. Bakalářská práce také nastíní chování jedince při rozhodování se o jeho budoucí zaměstnání a zaměří se na důvody, které potencionálního absolventa pedagogické fakulty od studia odradí.

Vzdělání je jedním ze základních předpokladů hospodářského, ekonomického ale i společenského rozvoje a proto je nezbytné se tomuto problému věnovat. Snižující se počet učitelů a také jejich kvality by mohlo způsobit vážné problémy v oblasti vzdělávání v České republice.

Research question and motivation
I am going to study the salary level of teachers in the Czech Republic compare it to the national average salary level and to the average salary level of Czech population with tertiary education. Since the salary level of teachers is not considered as high I am going to show some of the impacts such as decreasing numbers of teachers in our society, an increase in the average age of teachers, lack of teachers in the Czech Republic etc.
I will demonstrate the decision of an individual for not choosing this field as his career and offer solutions to this problem.

It is very important to bring attention to this specific topic because education is one of the most important factors of social development as well as economic one. Decreasing numbers of teachers and their quality could cause a serious problem with the education in the Czech Republic.

Contribution
My thesis should shed more light on the problem of diminishing number of teachers and their quality in the Czech Republic. It should provide a different view on the problem, focusing on opportunity cost of being a teacher and compare situation in the Czech Republic with other European countries. It should explain why the teacher profession is not considered as lucrative and therefore end up being chosen by increasingly smaller proportions of (smart) students.

The thesis should bring attention to this problem and bring the subject matter to the public.

Methodology
Figures and statistics published by the Czech Statistical Office are going to show the decreasing trend in the number of teachers, the pay gap between women and men, the gender and the age structure of teachers etc. Publications by OECD and Eurostat will be used in order to compare other European countries with the Czech Republic in regards to this topic.
Combining several publications (such as Global teacher status index or The Teaching Penalty: Teacher Pay Losing Groun) I would like to demonstrate the occupation choice of an individual. Even though salary is considered as a main deciding factor for most young adults there are also other factors such as social status, job outlook, future prospect and many others that are taken in consideration while making a decision about future career.
Possible solutions to the problem of this thesis would be shown by looking at the characteristics of the most successful education systems and defining the changes that have been made in order to improve those education systems.
