Hlavním tématem práce bude doménová struktura, funkce a regulace primárních faktorů sigma (Sigma A) u bakterií. Těžiště této rešerše se zaměří na tyto faktory z modelových organismů Escherichia coli a Bacillus subtilis. Tyto informace budou zasazeny do kontextu transkripce, její iniciace a primární faktory sigma budou porovnány s faktory alternativními.

The main topic of this thesis will be the domain structure, function and regulation of primary sigma factors (Sigma A) in bacteria. The focus will be on these factors from two model organisms, Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. This information will be set in the context of transcription, its initiation, and the primary sigma factors will be compared with alternative sigma factors.
