Předběžná náplň práce

The thesis deals with a parliamentary activity of members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. An objective of the study is to supplement knowledge on legislative behaviour of the Czech MPs so that it is comparable with Western Europen research standards. Therefore, the thesis separately scrutinizes following issues:
- Roll call analysis of deputies' voting.
- Deputies' parliamentary activity in relation to gender differences.
- Differences in activity of deputies of different age and parliamentary experience.
- Effects of deputies' ideological position on their parliamentary activity.
- Activity of deputies in parliamentary committees.
Even though the study is interested in five individual topics, the pieces are interconnected and together they build a complex picture on legislative behaviour of the Czech deputies.
