Předběžná náplň práce

Práce se bude zabývat událostmi a vývojem v Chile, který vedl k vojenskému převratu a následnému nastolení autoritativního režimu v čele s Augustem Pinochetem v září 1973. Tento režim při svém vládnutí používal silnou represivní politiku a docházelo zde k plošnému porušování lidských práv; na druhé straně se ale Pinochet zasloužil o ekonomickou stabilizaci země, díky které se dnes Chile řadí mezi nejvyspělejší státy Latinské Ameriky. Vzhledem k hlavnímu cíli této práce, kterým je určení nejzásadnějších faktorů na úspěšnost převratu a převzetí moci Pinochetem, se velká část práce bude zaměřovat na vývoj v Chile na začátku 70. let, vnitřní politiku Allendeho režimu a celkovou politickou situaci v zemi, kterou je nezbytné znát pro pochopení pozdějšího vývoje. Dále budou zmíněny události bezprostředně ovlivňující pučistické nálady v armádě a bude zde věnován prostor i analýze převratu, který zapříčinil pád Allendeho vlády a nástup Pinocheta k moci. V neposlední řadě budou detailně specifikovány faktory podílející se na pozitivním průběhu převratu; významná část se bude jistě věnovat americkému vlivu na chilské události v 70. letech, ta bude čerpat převážně z dříve přísně tajných dokumentů uveřejněných americkou vládou na konci 90. let. V závěrečné části práce budou poté zmíněny události, jež následovaly po samotném převratu a bude zde ve stručnosti nastíněn i samotný Pinochetův režim; nebude chybět ani zmínka o kontroverzi a názorové polarizaci, jež tato kapitola chilských dějin dodnes ve společnosti vyvolává.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

This thesis will examine Chilean events and development which led to the military coup and consequent establishment of authoritarian regime directed by Augusto Pinochet in September 1973. The regime used strong repressive policy and there were wide human rights abuse in the country; on the other hand, Pinochet was instrumental in economic stabilization of the state which is the base of contemporary economic situation: Chile is one of the most developed countries in Latin America. Taking into consideration the main aim of this thesis, which will be defining the most essential factors leading to successful course of the coup and takeover by Pinochet, significant part of the thesis will concentrate on development in Chile at the beginning of the 70´s, domestic policy of Allende´s regime and general political situation in the country, which is necessary to be aware of for understanding following course of events. Another part will offer an overview of events that immediately influenced insurgent atmosphere in the army, an analysis of the coup, which led to the fall of Allende´s regime and takeover by Pinochet, will be found in this part as well. Last but not least there are specified the factors which were significant for the positive course of the coup; a relevant part will dedicate to the American influence over the Chilean events in the 70´s and it will from the formerly top secret documents which were made public by the American government in the late 90´s. In the final part of the thesis there will be mentioned the events, that came after the coup and there will also be a brief outline of Pinochet´s regime; the reference to the controversy of polarization of opinions will be there, too.
