In the age of on-line information, there is an increased demand for highly-efficient, real-time text analytics. There is also shift in highly scalable and highly parallel computing. From in-house to cloud computing, and from pure CPU computing to hybrid architecture and in some cases to pure GPU computing.
It is essential to search for ways how to get advantage of new computing paradigms to parallelize algorithms used for text analytics. The main area of interest are topics of Artificial Intelligence like natural language processing and machine learning. We will apply the acquired knowledge by implementing a software tool which uses some of these algorithms.
