Téma euthanasie je stále častěji předmětem diskuzí, jak mezi odbornou veřejností tak i laickou, nelze před tímto tématem zavírat oči a ignorovat jej. Sepsáním této práci jsem chtěla přispět k poskytnutí širšího rozhledu na problematiku euthanasie, nejen seznámit čtenáře s postojem českého právního řádu k euthanasii, ale ukázat prostřednictvím právních předpisů jiných evropských zemí, jak se s otázkou euthanasie vypořádali či nevypořádali zákonodárci jinde v Evropě.

Topic of euthanasia is increasingly debated, both among experts and the general public, we can not close our eyes and ignore this topic. By writing this work, I wanted to contribute to providing a broader outlook on the issue of euthanasia, not only to acquaint the reader with the position of the Czech legal order on euthanasia, but to show through legislation in other European countries with how to deal with the issue of euthanasia lawmakers grappled or elsewhere in Europe.
