Předběžná náplň práce

Měnící se prostředí mezinárodních vztahů, měnící se podoba konfliktů a výskyt odlišných hrozeb a rizik ovlivnily Severoatlantickou alianci (NATO) a její postavení v mezinárodním systému. Jasná struktura mezinárodního systému, která byla dána bipolárním rozdělením, vzala s koncem Studené války za své a nejasná politická rovnováha přinesla otázku budoucnosti NATO. Diplomová práce „Od obranné aliance k bezpečnostnímu managementu: neoliberální institucionalismu a transformace NATO“ se zabývá východisky neoliberálního institucionalismu, které jsou aplikovány na specifické oblasti transformace Severoatlantické Aliance. Těmito oblastmi jsou institucionální uspořádání, vedení misí a partnerství/členství v organizaci. Na základě analýzy teoretického rámce jsou identifikovány další proměnné. Vztah mezi zvolenými proměnnými pak poslouží k dedukci vhodné hypotézy. Mezinárodní instituce se mění jako vše ostatní. Vývoj NATO a jeho transformace je předmětem tohoto výzkumu, který hledá vhodnou hypotézu neoliberálního institucionalismu a testuje ji na dvou případových studiích. Testováním vyvozené hypotézy a její aplikací na konkrétní mise bude možné na základě závěrů ověřit platnost teorie. Potvrzení či vyvrácení teorie nám poslouží jako vodítko pro predikci budoucího možného vývoje Aliance v diskusích o hledání její budoucí role v mezinárodním systému.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

Changing environment of international relations, changing conflicts, and new threats and risks influenced North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and its role in international system. Diploma thesis „From defense alliance to security management: neoliberal institutionalism and NATO’s transformation “ deals with theoretical basis of neoliberal institutionalism, that are applied to specific areas of NATO’s transformation. These areas were identified as institutional construction, missions’ conduct, and partnership/membership in the organization. Based on analyze of theoretical framework were identified other variables. Relation between all variables is used for deduction of suitable hypothesis. International institutions are changing as everything in the world. Changes and development of NATO is subject of this research that searches for the suitable hypothesis of neoliberal institutionalism and tests it on two case studies. By testing the hypothesis and its application on case studies we will be able to prove the validity of chosen theory. Confirmation or disproof of the theory will be guide for prediction of future development of the Alliance.
