Zásady pro vypracování

V období 1880-1916 se stala Argentina především v důsledku masivního vývozu zemědělských produktů jednou z nejlépe prosperujících zemí světa. Její ekonomická síla se neprojevila pouze v tomto sektoru, ale odrazila se i v dalších oblastech hospodářského a sociálního vývoje. Nárůst počtu obyvatelstva způsobený několika imigračními vlnami a sníženou mortalitou nejen napomohl rozvětvit centralizovanou ekonomiku, ale navíc rozšířil vliv argentinské vlády do vnitrozemských oblastí a změnil argentinskou kulturu a způsob života. Modernizaci, která zahrnovala budování telegrafní sítě, stavbu železnic či rozvoj hromadné dopravy, v mnoha aspektech ovlivnily zahraniční, především britské investice. Novinky, které Argentina přijala na konci devatenáctého století, jí otevřely cestu mezi moderní státy. Přes ekonomické krize, které její vývoj provázely, se prosadila ve světovém obchodě. Diplomová práce bude výsledkem zkoumání působnosti britských investic na rozvoj vybraných ekonomických faktorů, které ovlivnily hospodářský a sociální vývoj Argentiny v uvedeném období.
