Guidelines
The aim of this thesis normalization of XML documents. The author will study formalisms for XML functional dependencies and algorithms for normalization of XML documents. Then, she will implement the selected formalism and normalization algorithms in a prototype tool. The tool will allow specification of XML functional dependencies, normalization of a supplied XML schema and will generate XSLT/XQuery scripts for normalization of XML documents conforming to the original non-normalized XML schema.
