Doktorand si osvojil v průběhu studia metody vědecké práce a získal nejnovější poznatky ze soudobé zahraniční i české etnologie, které aplikoval v oborové specializaci. Výzkumná práce založená na etnologickém terénním výzkumu v různých geografických a kulturních podmínkách, umožní uplatnit nabyté zkušenosti v širokém spektru pracovních aktivit. Studium umožní řešit etnické a etnokulturní problémy v teoretické i v aplikované podobě ve vlastní kultuře i v kulturách cizích. Absolventi se uplatňují na vědeckých a odborných pracovištích, jako řídící a odborní pracovníci nebo analytici ve státní správě, v kulturních zařízeních, v muzeích, ve sdělovacích prostředcích a v humanitárních organizacích.

Learning outcomes
The programme has provided the Ph.D. graduate with a command of methods of scientific work and with the latest knowledge in the field of present-day foreign and Czech Ethnology, which the graduate has applied in the discipline of his/her specialisation. Research work based on field research in various geographical and cultural conditions has prepared the graduate for a broad range of work activities. The graduate is able to deal with ethnic and ethno-cultural issues at both theoretical and practical levels, in his/her own as well as in other cultures. The graduates’ training leads to employment by scientific and other specialised institutions, as managers and experts or analysts working for the public administration, cultural institutions, museums, the media, and humanitarian organisations.
