The course analyzes the processes of economic transformation of the post-Soviet space. It covers both macro and micro economic perspective through analyses of selected topics. Main emphasis is given on practical consequences of the reforms and their theoretical basis. It concentrates mostly on the European countries of the former Soviet Union.

-active participation in the classes
-attendance is obligatory (one unexcused missing allowed)
-reading and position paper of one page to each of the texts
-Oral presentation (fifteen minutes)
-Essay-ten pages long. The topics will be discussed with the lecturer up to  October 31, the deadline for submission is January 10
-The essay must be typed, Times New Roman, 12 pt., double spaced, using footnotes according to the chosen norm and must be delivered to the email address: It must be well written and contain authors statement, argumentation and conclusion. - -Please, DO NOT use Wikipedia as a source! Encyclopedias in general are not considered as sources for the academic papers.
-Any instance of plagiarism will result to the failed evaluation and will be delivered to the Disciplinary Commission for further decision.
