The main aim of the course is to help students to find the topic of their bachelor thesis and to write their thesis proposal.

SIS
It is important to register for the course in SIS where you can download slides from the seminars, upload the progress report and the draft of your thesis proposal, and receive feedback on them.
Requirements (each of the points below has to be fulfilled in order to get a pass from the course)
April 23: Progress report. Upload a document summarizing your work on the thesis proposal so far. Use the template document progress_report.doc which is available for download in SIS. Upload the document in SIS - under the tab "Studijni mezivysledky/Study group roster", an icon with four blue figures. You will receive feedback from the teachers of the course.
June 4: Thesis proposal. Upload the text of your thesis proposal. Use the template document thesis_proposal.doc which is available for download in SIS. Upload the document in SIS - under the tab "Studijni mezivysledky/Study group roster", an icon with four blue figures. The thesis proposal needs to include the name of your supervisor who already confirmed willingness to act as your supervisor. You will receive feedback from the teachers of the course and from the Department of Foreign Languages.
June 28: Registration of the topic in SIS. Ask your supervisor to enter your topic in the system and assign you to the topic, then fill in the text of your thesis proposal (including changes made after the feedback received at the beginning of June). The thesis proposal needs to include all the necessary information.
September 10: Final thesis proposal in SIS. You can fine-tune your proposal during the summer.

· Upload a draft of your thesis proposal (in the Word template form, without supervisor’s and your signature) on the course website in SIS - under the tab "Studijni mezivysledky", an icon with four blue figures (by June 20). The purpose of uploading this document is to give you an opportunity to get feedback from the course supervisor and the Department of Foreign Languages.
· Register your topic in SIS (ask your supervisor to enter your topic in the system and assign you to the topic), then fill in the final version of your thesis proposal (by September 30).
