The course is focused on the issue of health promotion through targeted modification of human lifestyle. Determinants of human health and especially its risk and protective factors are analyzed in detail. Special emphasis is placed on salutogenic lifestyle factors and the possibility of their systematic support. The starting point is the most common disorders of modern man and their probable causes. Attention is paid to the most frequent causes of failure in fulfilling the principles of a healthy lifestyle and the ways of their elimination. There are also discussed possibilities of social marketing promotion of healthy lifestyle principles.

The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge of healthy lifestyle and to support their motivation for positive changes in health-relevant behavior. The secondary aim is to acquaint students with professional support of population health through educational and social marketing procedures.

Requirements to the exam -

Requirements for graded credit: passing a written test (min. 70%), one regular term, two corrective exams. The test consists of two parts. One part focuses primarily on movement as part of a healthy lifestyle and the other on nutrition. Each part must reach the min. 70% success rate. In case of failure, the student repeats only the part of the test in which he / she failed.
