The history of the German language from the 16th century onward will be subject of this course. Special attention will be paid to the following points: History of orthography, vocabulary and syntax, history of the varieties of the German language, especially standard language, technical language and dialects. Language as a medium for orality and literacy will be discussed. The points listed first will be considered from a structural, the other ones from a pragmatic perspective. This course is taught in German.

Předmětem kurzu Úvod do nejnovějších dějin vývoje němčiny jsou dějiny jazyka od 16. století. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována nasledujícím jevům: dějiny ortografie, slovní zásoby a syntaxe, dějiny variet němčiny, zvláště spisovnému a odbornému jazyku a dialektům. Dále bude pozornost věnována medialitě jazyka, tedy písemnému a ústnímu projevu. Na prvně jmenované jevy bude nahlíženo strukturalisticky, na ty následující z pragmatického úhlu pohledu.
