The course enables the students to understand fundamental historical tendencies that have influenced the evolution of pedagogical thinking. It is dedicated to the history of education until the end of 19th century with special attention to the local tradition, particularly J.A. Comenius. The course also tries to facilitate deeper identification of students with the chosen subject of study. The exercices are assigned for reading and analysis of original texts.
