The goal of the subject is to give necessary amount of information from Medical Propaedeutics to students of Health Education. The subject is based on thorough knowledge of somatology. Students will be acquainted with medical assessment methods of patients and clients, e.g. anamnesis, physical assessment etc.

Předmět je zakončen zkouškou formou písemného testu (hranice úspěšnosti je 75 %), rozsah požadovaných znalostí odpovídá sylabu.

Studenti budou připuštěni ke zkoušce pouze za podmínky, že úspěšně absolvují (minimálně v 75 %) průběžné testy z biologie člověka.

1. Introduction, terminology of medicine.
2. Anamnesis and subjective symptoms (the importance and structures of anamnesis, the most frequent subjective symptoms and its causes, simulation, disimulation, aggravation).
3. Objective symptoms (general classification, objective symptoms of cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestional, urogenital, endocrinal and neurobehavioral diseases).
4. Physical examination and functional examination of each systems (techniques of physical examination, functional examination of lungs, ECG, functional examination of kidneys, EEG, EMG).
5. Blood and urine examination (purpose of examination, complete blood cell count, differential count, sedimentation rate, biochemical examination, blood coagulate examination, urine examination).
6. Microbiological examination (purpose, the main principles and the examples of bacteriological, virological, mycological, parasitological and sérological examination, antibiotic resistance).
7. Imaging methods in medicine (the main principles and utilization of skigraphy, computer tomography, magnetic resonance, radionuclide methods, ultrasounds and endoscopy).
8. Screening in medicine (definition, principle, importance, neonatal screening, cancer screening, examples).
9. Essentials of pharmacology (basic terms, patient information leaflet, methods of application, drug categories, generals rules, drugs for acute state).
10. Injury and intoxication of children and young (the most frequent causes, manifestation, prevention).
