The course introduces students to basic physiological principles , the theory of homeostasis and activities and individual functional systems. Special attention is paid to the physiological regulations and neuromuscular system with regard to child and adolescent organism.
Aim of the course -

The aim of the course is to get the students acquainted with the functions of all organ systems of the
human body in basic conditions. Particular attention is paid to regulatory
processes, functional examination methods and the function of neuromuscular
system with the respect to motor control. It is based on anatomical and
biochemical sources .

1.  Basic physiological mechanisms
2.  Internal body environment , its components and functions , control of homeostasis . The immune system
4.  Cardiac activity , regulation, circulatory system , function and regulation .
5.  Respiratory function, ventilation, regulation. Transport of respiratory gases and internal respiration
6.  Structure and function of the digestive tract. Metabolism  of substances and energy.
7.  Extrarenal and renal excretion
8.  Function of control systems - endocrine and nervous

b ) Practical exercises:
1.  Introduction to the practice - introducing to procedures
2.  Anthropometry and caliper measurement
3.  Measurement of blood pressure and its changes during isometric contraction
4.  Ortho - clinostatic exam , EKG
5.  Ventilation parameters
6.  Eye examination
