The course is designed for BA and MA students with B2 and C1 level. The objective of the course is to expand students´ vocabulary necessary for understanding academic texts related to the above mentioned disciplines.
Emphasis is also put on the revision of grammatical structures and the ability of students to express their ideas in cultivated German both oral and written.

The lessons take the form of a seminar based on discussions, presentations and exercises.

Requirements to the exam -

- Active participation in seminars - fulfilment and submission of the assigned tasks and cooperation in classes (20% of the total evaluation)

- presentation (20% of the total evaluation)

- Final online test focused on mastering the thematic areas and grammatical structures covered (at least 65%) (60% of the total evaluation)

The assessment scale:

0-50 % = F 
51-60 % = E 
61-70 % = D 
71-80 %=C 
81-90 %=B
91% and more=A 

A - outstanding performance with only minor errors, B - above the average standard but with some errors, C - generally sound work with a number of notable errors, D - fair but with significant shortcomings, E - performance meets the minimum criteria, F - fail – considerable further work is required
