Semestrální kurs pro studenty magisterského programu sinologie, zájemce o čínskou literaturu a kulturu. Kurz seznamuje s vybranými milníky čínského myšlení o literatuře. Každý tematický blok (2 týdny) sestává z přednášky, samostatné četby sekundární literatury, společné četby vybraných pramenů, prezentace referátů a diskuse.

Studenti ke zkoušce odevzdávají písemnou práci na zadané téma o rozsahu 6-10 stran. Zkouška má formou ústního pohovoru, součástí je: 1) četba a rozbor některého z vybraných pramenů 2) diskuse nad písemnou prací.

1)     Tradiční čínské pohledy na literaturu. Konfuciánské pojetí literatury. 

2)     Estetika a teorie čínského romanopisectví: edice, komentáře a interpretace z přelomu doby Ming a Qing.

3)     Náhled na literaturu na počátku 20. století: Liang Qichao a jeho pojetí "nového románu".  

4)     Yan´anské hovory a ideologická koncepce literatury a umění v ČLR. Oficiální a neoficiální čínská poezie od 50.let do 90.let 20.stol.

5)     Hledání kulturních kořenů a pojetí národní kultury v 80.letech 20. stol. 

6)     "Objektivní poezie" od 80. let 20. stol.
