Antropologický seminář je založen na společné četbě a diskusi sekundárních textů k vybraným problémům indické
společnosti z antropologické perspektivy. Důraz bude kladen na aktuální témata a etnografické, spíše než shrnující
texty. Hlavním cílem práce v semináři i domácí přípravy bude porozumění vybraným tématům v širší perspektivě, a to
jak z hlediska teoretické perspektivy autora, tak daného jevu v kontextu kulturním. Seminář se bude věnovat například
následujícím aktuálním tématům: klimatická změna a její důsledky, ekologická hnutí, migrace, sebevraždy rolníků,
náhradní mateřství a jiné formy komodifikace těla, alternativní medicína a její institucionalizace, identita mladých lidí,
de/radikalizace politických hnutí. Hodnocení bude založeno na posouzení aktivní účasti na hodinách, připraveného
ústního vystoupení v rámci semináře a závěrečné písemné práce.

Práce v semináři bude založena na společné diskusi zadaných textů, které musí mít všichni účastníci semináře předem přečteny. Od účastníků se očekává analytické čtení a externí rešerše.
