Course: One-semestral lectures finished with credit
Prerequisites: Continuation of the subject History and Culture of Jews in the Diaspora
The lecture enriches the topics of the world Jewish history, being concentrated on specific problems of Jewish
communities at Iberian Peninsula, Provence and North Africa, since the Middle Ages, then the Sephardi communities in the
Osman Empire, The Netherlands and in Americas are discussed. The stress is put on the social and cultural development,
with special attention to literature, folklore and applied decorative art.

Topics:
The course is based on self-contained study with tutorial discussions.
