Kant´s and Fichte´s conceptions of the imagination are the most important conceptions in the classical german philosophy. We are going to investigate the conception of Kant not only in the context of his theory of experience, but also in the context of his aesthetics. The conception of Fichte will be investigated in the form, in which Fichte presents it in the Grundlage der gesamten Wissenschaftslehre. Although Fichte follows Kant in many respects, in his conception of imagination can be found diferentiations to the conception of Kant, which made his conception interesting for the coming generation of romantic writers and philosophers.
