The course focuses on contemporary philosophy and its relation to politics, history and law. The main authors on whom we will focus are W. Benjamin, H. Arendt, J. Ranciere and G. Agamben.

Kurz je určen primárně magisterským studentům, ale vítáni jsou všichni zájemci o současnou filosofii a četbu filosofických textů, které se svým stylem či obsahem vymykají normě a představují tak specifický interpretační problém. Seminář se zaměřuje na filosofické texty mapující hranice filosofie a její vztah k oblastem politiky, zákona a dějin. Výchozími autory a texty v semináři jsou W. Benjamin - O pojmu dějin, H. Arendtová - O revoluci, J. Ranciere - Neshoda: Politika a filosofie a G. Agamben: Homo sacer.
