Seminárně pojatý kurz bude směřován k interpretaci vrcholných alb Boba Dylana (pojatých v chronologickém uspořádání) jakožto literárních ("básnických") výtvorů, které jsou oproti tradiční poezii obohaceny o performativní aspekt hudebního provedení (koncert, studiový záznam na albu). Pozornost bude věnována tematické i výrazové složce Dylanovy tvorby, ať už z hlediska konstantních, anebo vývojově proměnných rysů. Zároveň bude tato tvorba zesíťovávána s vybranými rysy dobového sociokulturního kontextu.

Zápočet bude udělován za aktivní účast (ve smyslu ochoty a schopnosti generovat smysluplnou a produktivní seminární debatu) a za podíl na týmové (2-3 členové v týmu) prezentaci, která nabídne ucelenou interpretaci jednoho z analyzovaných alb (jejich soupis v oddílu Sylabus).
