The seminar is concerned with relations and parallels between Anglo-Saxon visual art and texts of the period as seen against the background of early medieval European art and the history of Anglo-Saxon England. The topics will include: "The Creation"; "Fall of Angels"; " Creation and Recreation in Eschatological Time"; "From Adam to Anglo-Saxon Kings"; "Christ´s Cross"; "Harrowing of Hell"; From the Ascending to the Disappearing Christ"; " Second Coming of Christ".

Language of instruction: The seminar will be conducted in Czech.
