The course provides an introduction to some key concepts and topics in text linguistics, focussing on the ?standards of
textuality?: cohesion, coherence, intentionality, acceptability, situationality, intertextuality and informativity. A variety of
examples based on authentic language data (mostly written texts) will be analysed.
